5.7L going into limp.mode

G'day Fellas

I have a 2005 vz ss ute that's going into limp mode almost everytime I put my foot down.
It's not giving me any codes when I scan either even in limp mode.

Recently did the rocker gaskets and service.

Tried cleaning all the sensors with compressed air.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated thanks.

is the cel coming on
what is your definition of limp mode

I'm using a (can obd 2 )
Full loss of power can turn the car off wait 1 minute and start again.
What do you meen by cel?

full loss of power, as in rolls to a stop

Even an intermittent fault will come up eventually if it actually goes into limp mode like fans on & speed limited.

Cheap shitty scan tools won’t find the code on a box of cornflakes, let alone a Commodore.

A better scan tool will be needed. The car won’t go into limp mode for no reason. There will be codes.

Tech2 knock off or a Vident i400au with Holden software is the go. ($500-ish, give or take a bit)

full loss of power, as in rolls to a stop

No light, dash says safety mode restricted power, car slows to a stop fans running.

Yeah there is no engine light and yes the car rolls to a stop with fans running
