Hey guys what options are there for aftermarket ecu on a 195i 304 with a intercooler and a v1 blower? Do wolf still make them?

Why waste money on an after market ecu when the factory is more than up to the task, you just need to find a tuner who can tune a Delco PCM.

I have heard of some software that allowed a tuner to download, wipe then tune a factory ecu. I ask as it seems that after getting warm the car goes into a limp mode where the revs climb then drop. I believe i still have a stock pcm, would removing the battery cause the setting to be wiped??

Removing the battery will wipe the PCM memory and you will loose the learnt fuel trims but the basic tune from the factory will always be there.

If you want to learn more about tuning a delco have a look over here PCMHacking

Would a custom memcal store trims even after the battery is disconnected?

That's why I was asking what ecu options there is.
As i have a kill switch in my ute which i use when i am not driving it, just for security sake.

Fuel trims aren't important if the tune is right. All the fuel trims are once the engine is up to operating temp the ECU uses the O2 sensors to make small adjustments which change everyday because of changing weather conditions, temp, humidity, pressure etc.

I think it needs a good tune because when the engine has warmed up and left at idle it will rises the rpm then drops, rise then drop etc.. Would this be limp mode?
The motor is not factory it been upgraded to a 195i 304 with a V1 blower with a 5 speed T5. What do i ask? Because i want to be able to use my kill switch but not lose tune and be in a limp mode..
I have heard some good news about the Capa Performance. When looking locally(Alice Springs) there is not much options, it's that bad that the only dyno in town is owned by the police!!

Something is not quiet right but I wouldn't think it would be going into limp home mode.

Has the tune been changed over to suit a manual transmission?
