Yeah, we are all OK, thanks Mr 23 has reported the water level is receding. The rain has slowed down for now and looking at the rain radar we might cop a bit more from the edge of the storm in the next couple of hours.
Yes, this is the worst I've seen. Pictures from the CBD and New Market has surface flooding and the storm water is actually coming out of the man hole covers. I think we've had about 150mm of rain in the last 3 hours, there is surface flooding at Auckland airport and a plane struck some landing lights earlier and has put part of the runway out of commission, international flights are been diverted.
There is plenty of damage though around the city, the mop up job is going to be costly.
