ok few tips
1 - Dont use crap export paint its rubbish and not recommended for outdoor use. Use good quality products. I know as i used export paint and 2-3 months later looked crap. Bought some better stuff and it still looks like new.
2 - No need for plastic primer can use regular primer just give the badge a good sand
3 - Definitely use a clear coat or you will have issues with the paint coming off

I wanted to do the same, but half of the chrome has come off. Looks rather ugly like it is. Liked your feed though. I guess i'll have to chip away at the chrome to get it all off. Not very easy to do, but I will persevere slowly. Looks good painted hey..
