How about don't paint the badge at all! Looks crap in my humble opinion. From a distance it just looks like you've been debadged.

I used to have a maroon vt with body kit an had gold badges but I bought them gold so I had the bonnet and boot lion and one commodore stuck on the mesh on the front bumper looked so mint, and rare,

Each to their own.
However I prefer a chrome/silver badge against a black grill any day, black badge is so blended into bkg may as well just remove it.

Like would you spray your silver type mag wheels black? don't answer that, (rhetorical question) some fast & furious ricer types would Hee Hee
Same ppl have rear spoilers on front drive cars to add downforce don't they LOL

Give it a clear coat and abit of a polish to avoid looking like some 14 year old racked your badges haha.

If anyone reads this thread again I used Plastidip, easy to remove when you want to restore it back.
