Dash is pretty much done. Came up quite ok in the end. I started cleaning off the tape residue and bits of tape that the PO didn't clean off. I think I will try to remove the windscreen next and get the paint off and then buff it.

Bit more progress. Got the screen pretty much stripped. Also cleaned most of the overspray off from the POs handy work. Until I really got into it I didn't realise just how much overspray there was. The white rag got fairly black pretty quick. Now need to go over it with a fresh towel and more thinners.
I run into a smallish problem in that I accidentally brushed the perspex with paint stripper and now I have about 3 or 4 spots I'm going to have to sand and work up to polish with the buff. I should have known and taped up the edges. I can fix it but it has created another 2hrs of work for me.

So the couple of spots with paint stripper on the perspex turned out for the good in the end. It meant that I had to get out the finishing sander and give all five pieces a rub, then working up to 3000 followed by some Precision Platelet and the orange buffing pad. All five pieces had some scratches that have pretty much all come out now.
Had I not damaged the perspex I may have settled for as it was scratches and all.
I have managed to damage my orange pad a fair bit though as it caught a few times and took a few chunks out. Fortunately these screw on pads are quite thick and even with bits missing they still work OK. At some stage I will invest in a new one for doing cars and keep the damaged one for rough buffing in areas where it might get damaged.

Added to the time it takes you to build your barbecue with those bricks, you’re in for a busy time:)
They're going to be a base/wood box for my next pizza oven, when I finally have time to build one. This will be the third one I've built and hopefull my last. They normally take me a good few months to construct.

Cudos. I’m a bricklayer amongst lots of other things, so I know the patience required.
Your wire cut bricks are fine for wood storage, but I’m sure given you’ve had experience in building pizza ovens, solid or firebricks are more appropriate.

Not a pizza oven, but something I got a lot of pleasure from once built by me:)
