Have any owners on here had a torque converter issue with their Commodore?

It's not common but yes, there has been plenty thats had issues (and thats any car with an auto not just commodores).

Like all parts, they can fail or have problems.

What are your symptoms?
I assume that you have a V8, so have the 6L80E.
Most of what I have heard about in regard to VF torque converters is related to the auto on V6s.

Hi Shannan, best to have a discussion directly on the forum. I'd like others who know more than me to be able to add their experience and recommendations. Can't see your DM by the way.
There are other forum threads on this topic, but largely around the gearboxes behind the V6s.

post #1 is a pretty broad question, if some more explanation of the issue can be explained then more help can be given or more questions can be asked to help narrow in on the potential issue

Australian Car Review had web pages on all known faults and recalls for various models including our VF commodore. Unfortunately all that information inexplicably seems to have gone the way of the dodo much like all the info on the Holden website

Has GM being at play scrubbing history or is yje website in the midst of some update?

https://australiancar.reviews/?sfid...ft_model=commodore&_sft_generation=vf-2013-17

Pity because that web site would have clearly documented what common faults would have impacted VF auto transmissions among other issues/faults/recalls

So I quickly checked google’s wayback machine in the hope of finding the lost info but to no joy :(

Not working for me in Chrome, Edge and Safari.
Maybe time to use a non-graphical browser.
