VF Calais V heated seats

I am soon taking delivery of my Calais V and have never had heated seats before so have a question.
Basically, do you get a sweaty arse from the seats?
Can the base be disconnected leaving only the lumbar heater( I want the heat in lumbar for my bad back)?

yes the seats get very warm even on the lowest of 3 settings but they are very welcome on a cold day even if used to warm seats initially. they do warm your b*m
