Vf ssv wagon
By this time I had changed out the transmission fluid twice (75k kms, 77k kms). So on the 2nd change I did the deep pan mod and added a transmission dipstick. Much easier to check level and add fluid! Although it must have been before I got the headers on so timing is slightly out of whack.

I added a transmission cooler too, a PWR VE one which I modified to fit the VF

Abit of a thread dig here , just wondering mate if you have anymore pictures of your top and bottom brackets for your trans cooler ? Ive purchased the exact same cooler but as a kit to suit ve but the brackets neeed modifying and also do you have a part number for the 6l80 dipstick ??
Almost finished on the rebuild of my vf wagon
(Fresh 6.0 pistons -rods -cam and head work with a 3.5k stall ) can’t wait to jump back in her

Love what you have done to yours as well

Hey mate. I have more pics - I only modified the top bracket. I've attached them at the end.
I've since put a pull fan onto the back of it too. (Same bracket).

Dipstick is Janetty racing - https://jannettyracing.com/products/jre-dipstick-and-tube-kit-6l80e-6l90e

Thanks! What size cam have you put? 3.5k stall should be fun, in hindsight I wish I went to 3k instead of 2800 but I like that it still feels stock. What head work did you get done?

Janetty Racings doesn’t say if it suits other transmissions other than the 6L80 (and variants), but I did a quick Google search to see if the 4L60 has the filler in the same location. I didn’t get very far but this popped up.

https://automatictransmission.com.au/shop/turbo-700-or-4l60-filler-tube-and-dipstick/

It’s an Australian company, so maybe contact them as see if they have a dipstick that suits a V6?
