I honestly haven't had a chance to get back out there to take it for a drive around the block. But I'm hoping tomorrow I will. Just never seems to be enough hours in the day.
As for the wiper motor, I think I tossed the old one before moving across aus. And the one I had bought, disappeared...
Hey y'all.
My rear wiper motor died a couple years ago on my 2000 VX commodore. I didn't realise there was more then 1 sort for the vx. I bought one and it didn't fit.
Now I've been told there's centred or off centred?
I literally have no clue how to work out what one I need without spending...
Haven't had a chance to look at the car again. Single mum life doesn't leave much time lol. Thankyou for all the advice and tips.
But I will update you hopefully tomorrow, I so badly need my car back on the road
I will fully check it out tomorrow in the daylight, but the car started after changing the battery. It's quite confusing though because it was reading that it was fully charged and didn't throw an error code for it.
I'm really hoping this will be the issue, and nothing more.
But thankyou so...
I totally forgot about that to be honest. The other thread I mean. It's been one of those weeks where you just want to pull your hair out lol.
But I just took all fuses out and replaced them just in case. But none were blown.
I actually bought a brand new battery the other day because I thought it might be the issue.. but I haven't put it in yet because I thought about all the issues and suspected the ECU.
But I've just removed all fuses and replaced them. None of them were blown
So, something odd, or maybe not. The scanner is showing no error codes. There is no power coming from the battery unless the jump pack is connected, and even with it connected the jump pack itself was drained. Using the obd2 reader we tried for live data readings and received no codes...
I was hoping it was as simple as replacing the ECU
What sort of scanner do I need? I have an OBD2 scanner if that helps.
At the moment I can't even drive my car. It doesn't start or even crank since I accidentally put the positive on negative and vice versa, and the battery sparked.
It starts...
Hey..
So I'm replacing the ECU in my 2000 VX commodore. I've already sussed out the right one by the code on the side of the one already in it. My issue is that, I messaged the commodore shop and their telling me I need to replace the BCM as well? But yet everywhere I've looked, it's said that I...
Hey y'all.
Ok, I really messed up. When I was sick, I stupidly connected positive lead to negative and vice versa. It sparked. But I didn't think much of it because I changed them back how they are supposed to be.
Well it looks like I wasn't lucky and I've caused an electrical issue. I took my...
I know this is probably something that's been discussed before, BUT I've google searched and my head just hurts haha. My dumb@ss cut the original connector off the car wiring harness for the stereo. I can't for the life of me, work out where the rest of the wires go.
This one has 2×8 slot...
You are an absolute freaking LEGEND!!!
I was freaking out thinking it was going to cost a fortune to fix, and I'd have to let someone I don't know, work on my car haha.
all fixed now!!
