Hi guys in the middle of putting my gearbox back in my vn v6 its been out a while but its just been sitting on the shelf so nothings changed I installed a new clutch same as what it had previously

now ive gone to put it in thats all well and good bolted up etc now ive gone to hook up the clutch cable and the fork is just moving freely and not making contact with the pressure plate

I’ve measured the pivot point distance on the fork and that’s correct, the release bearing is the same as what it previously had any ideas on what it could be?

Did the fork have the spring for the pivot in it? Looks like this:

If you did put the spring in, you might need to push on the fork to get the spring over the pivot ball.

Well it's not hitting the bellhousing when it's at full pull, have you hooked up the cable and tried it? Or is the fork fouling on the pressure plate before it makes contact?

Yup hooked the cable up what it feels like is its just touching the pressure plate at full pull but then it hits the bellhousing, something up and i just cant put my finger on it
