Seller reckons this a T56 out of a VE Maloo? I looked online and couldn't find the part number. I thought all VE had the 6060 (My 08 does) and if this is out of a Maloo it should be the upgraded CR box if I'm not mistaken?

Too many
Early VE's came out with a T56, with a remote shifter so it will look similar to the TR6060. Cutover date I believe was 09ish but may be wrong on that point. Theres only really two ways to know, by the serial number 5 digit is one way and 4 digit is the other. Off head I can't remember which way it is. Also you can tell by the location of I the reverse switch at the rear of the box too.

Mines and 08 and has a 6060. I was wondering if the 06s, 07s maybe had a 56.

Looking at the box I posted above and the one on the Holmart site I can't tell the difference. The GT one just has the bellhousing removed.

Hoping the seller replies, I have asked him what year the box came out of as I think all VE SS had the 6060? According to Holmart, it would seem they did. There was a change mid 2012 where the input shaft was changed. From my searching I don't think this box is a CR one though? I don't think all Maloo's got the CR box, like I thought they did?

From the Mal Wood site this is a T56. Quite a bit different to the one for sale on GT.

Just realised you said they both had the same shifter, so I guess it could be a T56?

Is this like a game show?
Do we win a prize?

Trying to figure out if its worth me considering buying it if he still has it in the new year. If its 56 then no prize, if its 6060 then the price might make it worthwhile. I was hoping it was a CR box as that would be even better than the WR one I have.

The part number doesn't come up online.

Why do you want a spare?

For several years I belted the bejesus out of 2 t56 daily driven cars...one low mileage & other was high mileage.

If they'd had little or no oil left in them maybe them could have broken one lol
