These fold-out cup holders from Monaros and SSs were designed by either a person with a warped sense of humour, or an evil genius.
An engineering masterpiece of uselessness.

They were actually designed by SAAB. GM used them in many vehicles. including the VZ high spec range. Not sure if they were in the VY but they were in the Adventra

Yep, they were in the VY as well...

I'm flabbergasted. 19 cup holders,!!!!!!!!! FFS how could you use that many?.

I had a VY SV8 ..didn't have the cupholders. Good car though..wish I'd kept it.

They were only in the like of the SS and Calais I think. MY VY S doesn't have them either but I have seen them in the Berlina V8 International

Maybe that's because it was based on the Executive... Used to own one but I can't remember whether it had cupholders or not

I can't stop smashing the pedal on this thing, have never owned a turbo and just hearing the noises it makes when accelerating is awesome, hasn't got much of a note, very subtle, but is addictive
