Last weekend I tried to find leak by cycling the pre-start prime cycle. But not enough pressure to see anything.
Wednesday arvo, tried to diagnose fuel leak location with my nephew. But battery power was too low to start.
Charged battery and repeated attempts on Thursday.
Bingo:
So trimmed the end and reattached - tested fine.
Friday morning I used the car to drop my eldest at school, no fuel leak, but plenty of dust cloud going down the street (which is a bit un-nerving when keeping an eye out for signs of
@someguy360 stato in my engine bay).
Poked my eye under the car when he was getting out - coolant drips and puddle. Dang.
Shot home to swap cars, but then quickly found leak and tightened.heater hose clamp.
Drove to work - no puddles under the car.
Home later (short day). Rinse car of all the dust.
Used it twice more without drama,
And then rolled out approx 3x3m carpet from one of the rooms after we re-carpeted the house.
So now I'll stay warmer if I need to get under the car in winter.
I'll see how that works out and maybe try some more at some stage.
