can anyone give me some pointers on where to get info off the net or know how to do the timing for a vs 5ltr commodore:bow:

well your definitly on the right site. just gotta do some searching. but to make things simple. find the diagnostic plug (hint, search for thread: fualt daignosis VR/VS - revised), put car into diagnostic mode (this locks the ecu so it doesn't advance the timing) and then using a timing light set your base timing to 10* BTDC (by rotating the dizzy denpending on which way it needs to go:thumbsup:
