But this loss against a defiant Palace has possibly put paid to their Premiership dreams, and with Arsenal suffering the same fate as they lost 2-0 at home to Aston Villa, Man City are now two points clear of both, as they lead the title race after having thrashed Luton Town 5-1 yesterday.

Well, I'm afraid this result was the nail in the coffin for Liverpool's title hopes.
Everton thoroughly deserved this win as they stuck to their game plan, frustrating Liverpool time and again. Liverpool’s lack of form in front of goal continued as they squandered chance after chance, as Everton stood solidly in defence with their keeper Pickford making several excellent saves.

Unless Manchester City or Arsenal falter dramatically in their remaining games, Liverpool's hopes of winning the Premiership appear to be lost.
