Watched Fulham v Arsenal and Spurs v Bournemouth overnight.

Good win by Fulham, the Gunners were very lacklustre.

Spurs 3-1 win over the Cherries was not as convincing as the scoreline reflects, with the away team creating a lot more opportunities but unable to capitalize when it mattered.
Nice some good results there will be interesting how the next couple of matches go as it's a split round, with the way fixtures are right now.

Liverpool 4 v Newcastle Utd 2

Liverpool dominated the first half having most of the possession and about 20 attempts at goal, without finding the net. They came out strong again in the second half and scored an early goal, only for Utd to reply within 5 minutes. They finally gave themselves a two-goal cushion in the 74th and 78th minutes to take them to a 3-1 lead. A resurgence by Utd saw them pull one back in the 81st minute, with Liverpool countering from a spot-kick in the 86th minute.

A good game, all in all. Although Liverpool having a total of 34 attempts with 15 on target, once again, might feel aggrieved they didn't hit the back of the net more often, especially as Utd only had 5 shots with 3 on target.

Newcastle Utd 2 v Man City 3

De Bruyne is back for City after five months out of the EPL with a hamstring injury. Brought on as a substitute mid-way through the second half after Newcastle had held a 2-1 lead, De Bruyne scored within four and half minutes with a classic. Then into the second minute of time added on, he provided a pin-point pass from about forty metres to Oscar Bobb inside the Newcastle area who took the ball beautifully with magical footwork to see the ball hit the back of the net for the winner.

Yes Kevin De Bruyne is back.

Have been overseas for a month, but still managed to watch all Liverpool games.
The defeat by the Gunners was a downer, especially after the good win against Chelsea.

The 4-1 win against Brentford was a good result, although the Gunners seem to have hit their straps over the last few games keeping the pressure on with a 5-0 win against Burley on the weekend.

Man City dropped a vital two points at home to Chelsea in their last game, which sees them four points behind Liverpool at the top of the table, with a game in hand.

Liverpool 4 v Luton Town 1

Another win for Liverpool which sees them four points clear at the top, although Luton took a first-half lead against the run of play. Coming out in the second half Liverpool took command with two goals in quick succession, going on to score twice more to wrap up the game.
This was a good win by Liverpool who are suffering from a few injuries at the moment keeping key players out of the squad. It shows they have strength in reserve.

Nottingham Forest 0 v Liverpool 1

First time Liverpool have won at the City Ground for some forty years, 14 games I believe.

Overall, Liverpool were dominant throughout the game. However, they failed to score having 21 attempts at goal during the 90 minutes of normal time. With nine minutes added for stoppages, Liverpool finally broke the deadlock after 98 minutes and 35 seconds with a headed goal from Darwin Nunez.
Ironically, Nunez had been taunted by the home fans shouting “You're just as sh1t as Andy Carrol” an ex-Liverpool player who was considered a bit of a flop during his time with the team.

I guess his late winner soon stopped the jibes.

Liverpool remain top of the Premier League four points clear of Man City who play Man Utd in their next game. I don't like to say this usually, but “Come on Utd!”:)
